Essential discos is a small disco company based in Dunfermline, Fife. Over the years I have been involved in supplying discos for some of the top venues in Scotland! We offer a professional Dj set up and can supply music for all tastes. Your Event...Your Way!

We Specialise in Weddings and as your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, you want to make sure that it is memorable for all the right reasons.
As all weddings are unique and everyone has different tastes, working with yourselves we can make up a play list of your favourite songs or how you might want the lighting for your first dance, setting the right mood and ambiance for the evening. We can also advise on dance protocol i.e who dances with who and when and will introduce everyone to the floor by name if required. We are committed to offering you the customer with the best deal and service possible! Please feel free to call and discuss your requirements!!
Prices are set depending on distance type of function and times. We can also help with music selection and can supply Karaoke if required (this will be at extra cost)
If you are a Pub / Hotel requiring a resident disco we can offer a package deal please call to discuss your requirements!
All bookings are confirmed in writing beforehand and if you wish we can arrange to meet with you to discuss your function and any special requests you may have.
We can also supply pictures and short videos showing our equipment in use and testimonials from many satisfied customers.
Q: Can I Have Special requests?
A: Yes in fact we Positively encourage it after all it is your night!
Q: When will you turn up?
A: We aim to be at your function at least half an hour BEFORE the start time!
Q: I want to send you a list of the music I want played on the night will the Dj do this?
A: Yes this is no problem- it is your night! We do ask however for some artistic license as not everybody likes the same thing!
Q: I would like somebody to sing at my function - can we use the DJs microphone?
A: Yes no problem - just ask on the night!
Q: we are having a meal before our function will the Dj play some background music during the meal?
A: Yes we can arrange to have some background music playing suited to your taste!
Q: We are having a band as well as a disco is this ok?
A: Yes we will liase with the band and play as required!
Q: Can I use the Djs microphone to make a speech?
A Yes Just ask on the night!
Q: Will you play on after we are due to finish?
A; This depends on the venue and licensing that they have as most venues have a time that we must finish at and we are not allowed to play beyond that time- So if the Venue allows, then yes for a small extra charge paid to the DJ in advance of the extra time!
Q: Can we hear you work before our function date?
A: Yes This is possible please ask!
All Our DJs will come to your function in smart dress - Shirt Trousers and smart shoes - If it is a Wedding We insist that our Dj s turn up in a suit shirt and tie.
We can also arrange to liase with the venue direct if needed - to arrange set up times, access, where in the hall they or you wish us to set the disco up.
All our Equipment will be set up and sound checked at least half an hour before the function is due to start- Please note that if you are having the wedding breakfast in the same hall as the disco this may not always be possible!!!
