The DJ (Michelle Bessant)
Funky female DJ, professional, reliable and fun with a real passion for music and dancing (I may even join you on the floor!) and a desire to make your event unforgettable. As a songwriter/musician it was inevitable that DJing would be another string I'd add to my bow. One of my ambitions is to have a hit record one day... and play it at my discos!
The Music
I love lots of different music and can cater for most popular tastes (50s to present), including disco, rock & roll, dance, R&B, Indie/rock, modern pop and, of course, party classics! I can also provide dedicated evenings in some of these styles.
The Gear etc
I use a top spec laptop running professional Traktor 3 software with a top notch Wharfedale amplifier teamed with Peavey speakers, producing an excellent sound. I also carry back-up equipment. My usual rig features a classy starcloth backdrop with professional intelligent lighting. This set-up is suitable for medium venues of up to 250 people. I can also provide a smaller rig for up to 100 or if space is a premium. I can hire extra gear for larger events.
The Quiz
My music quizzes, which feature mostly song clip-based questions, can be booked individually or as a disco/quiz package (discount applies).
The Cost
Depends on things such as venue, duration, time of year, number of people etc. I'm not the cheapest, but I'm not the most expensive either. Get in touch and I'm sure we can work something out. If you do book me you'll be safe in the knowledge that I'm fully insured, all my equipment is PAT tested and I will put in the legwork to ensure what you want is delivered.
